Exterior
The XRT Pro is the Palisade built with rougher roads in mind. It has its own black grille, black front and rear bumpers and black roof rails, along with front and rear tow hooks. Its 18-inch alloy wheels carry P255/60R18 all-terrain tires, and a temporary spare is included. The other trims share a tall, square body with projector LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. The one exterior addition for 2027 is the Night Package on the Calligraphy trims, which turns the 21-inch wheels, bumpers, roof rails and emblems black, with Abyss Black, Creamy White or Ecotronic Grey paint.
Ground clearance is the number many northern buyers check first: 212 mm on the XRT Pro and 187 mm on the other trims. Wheelbase is 2,970 mm across the lineup. The XRT Pro is also the longest and tallest version, at 5,090 mm long and 1,830 mm high, while width stays at 1,980 mm for all. Raised roof rails rated at 220 lb (100 kg) let you carry a cargo box or bike rack. Heated side mirrors with a timer, heated front washer nozzles and a rear camera washer help keep sightlines clear on dusty or wet roads.
Interior
The XRT Pro cabin is practical first, with leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, heated second-row captain’s chairs and a 115-volt outlet for small devices at camp. Every Palisade puts a 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen across the dash, with built-in navigation and SiriusXM. Seven USB-C ports, six of them 100 W fast-charge ports, mean every row can plug in. Under the cargo floor there is extra hidden storage, and the second row has releases in the cargo area so you can slide it forward from the back.
Space for people and gear is generous. In the XRT Pro, legroom is 1,052 mm up front, 1,092 mm in the second row and 815 mm in the third. With all three rows up, the cargo area holds 540 L. Folding the third row opens 1,310 L, and folding both rear rows gives 2,455 L for camping gear, coolers or sports bags. The 3.5 L V6 powers the Preferred Trend, XRT Pro and Ultimate Calligraphy. It makes 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque and uses an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters. With trailer brakes, every V6 model is rated to tow 5,000 lb (2,268 kg), and the XRT Pro comes with an integrated tow hitch, Trailer Sway Control and auto-levelling rear suspension. The XRT Pro adds a rear electronic limited-slip differential to HTRAC all-wheel drive and multi-terrain control modes. Its NRCan rating is 14.3 L/100 km city and 10.6 highway, with a 72 L fuel tank.
For drivers who put on long highway kilometres, the 2.5 L turbo hybrid is worth a look. Offered in the Luxury Hybrid and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid, it delivers 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed hybrid automatic. Its ratings are 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway and 8.1 combined, using regular fuel and a 69 L tank. Hybrids are rated to tow 4,000 lb (1,814 kg) and include the integrated hitch. Both powertrains come with HTRAC all-wheel drive and drive mode selection.
Technology
Long drives call for good driver aids, and the Palisade includes several as standard. Highway Driving Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go, Lane Following Assist 2 and Lane Keeping Assist work together on the highway. Driver Attention Warning is also included. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist detects cars, pedestrians and cyclists, and Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist cover the sides and rear. Every trim has 10 airbags, Safe Exit Assist and Rear Occupant Alert. The Calligraphy trims add Highway Driving Assist II and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist.
