What to Expect from the 2024 Hyundai Elantra?

Hyundai's Elantra has consistently delivered efficient performance, comfort, and value, and we expect this to continue with the upcoming 2024 model. But what can we anticipate from this refreshed model?
Anticipated Exterior Redesign
Following the unveiling of the Avante, Hyundai's Korean version of the Elantra, we anticipate the 2024 Elantra will bear similarities to this model. Although unconfirmed, historically the designs of the Elantra and Avante have been concurrent, so it's reasonable to expect the new Elantra will feature an updated exterior based on the Avante's recent redesign.
Sharp lines, a pronounced grille, and new wheel designs give the Avante an overall sportier appearance, and we suspect these features will be echoed in the 2024 Elantra. The new bumper, reminiscent of Hyundai's sporty N model, is another design element likely to be mirrored in the upcoming Elantra. With these changes, we anticipate both the front and back end of the 2024 Elantra will have noticeable differences from the current model.
Interior Upgrades
While the basic layout of the Elantra’s interior is expected to remain the same, Hyundai may introduce some noteworthy changes. We anticipate new upholstery options and enhanced infotainment features, improving both comfort and user experience. There will likely be a larger centre display eventually and perhaps more connectivity features, although this is purely theoretical.
Performance and Powertrain
While the exterior of the new Elantra will change in 2024, the powertrain lineup is likely to remain the same. Hyundai is expected to retain its current engines, such as the 2.0-liter inline-four, turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four, and Smartstream 1.6-liter Hybrid engines. Given how competitive these engines are in terms of both efficiency and performance, there isn’t any need to update them just yet.
That said, rumors suggest that the Elantra N's 2.0-liter turbo engine may see a modest power increase. In addition, the Elantra N will receive mild styling changes and is confirmed to debut a few months after the standard sedan.
Launch Date
The 2024 Hyundai Elantra is expected to debut soon, with the updated Elantra N set to be released by the end of the year. This updated model promises to continue Hyundai's tradition of delivering high-quality, value-for-money vehicles that don't compromise on style or performance.
